You played football... hmmmm, I lika you! hahaha... well "Hip-Hop and Popusas"I'm not sure if it's a regular thing happening every month but it was at Un Solo Sol on 1st and Boyle, across the street from Mariachi Plaza which is where the farmers market is at and actually its on today. I didn't eat popusas but I like them. It was a small event; there were older folks there that are artists of one sort, and younger ones as well. It was free flowing to music and one of my friends was gonna do that and our mutual friends told me about it last minute but it was a break from what I was doing so I rushed to get there. I liked it, including this reggae band that was a fusion that I'd have to listen to again because it wasn't Bob Marley reggae. I'll look up the artist because I want to include them when I score the music to my series. But yeah, I was bobbin' my head and clapping.

Well Boyle Heights is worth a hangout visit; this town is swinging back, has been for a long while compared to the time it was notorious for it's gangland mentality and reality. It's seems to be mostly poor working class but folks are working and I dig it for all the music and art there is. I go to one of the art galleries that is also a community center with so much free to low cost/donation suggestion to attend classes and other activities as open mic that I finally went up to read back last month. If you ever want to come down, I'll be your tour guide aye...

Nice, well I hope you have a great visit. I'll be doing some visiting myself Saturday. It's my birthday party I'm sharing with a family friend whose birthday is also the same as mine but they are 10 years older. I hope I don't get drunk because there's mass the next day and my mom wants me to go because she dedicated it for me considering all that's going on and coming up. If I get lit, church is gonna be interesting to put it nicely... I don't think I've ever gone to church hung over, but hey, like that's what menudo is for like right?
